The opportunity
To closely work with the Head of India R & D, part of the Global R & D HR and India HR Leadership team to develop and implement the people strategy for Global R&D sites in India, fostering an enriching and rewarding work environment where employees are treated with respect, take pride in their work, and remain actively engaged.
How you’ll spend your day
- Organization Design & Annual Operating Plan
- Drive strategic discussions on organizational planning and Organization effectiveness, by working closely with the Global and India business & HR leaders on Organization structure, ratio’s etc
- Support the business in creating an Annual Operating plan with reference to the People vector.
- Align on Global initiatives and cascade the plan which supports the overall organization strategy.
- Performance Management
- Provide ongoing performance management guidance to managers, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
- Enable mid-year and annual performance reviews with business leaders as part of the appraisal (Connect) process.
- Facilitate calibrations, organizational movements, and reward decisions.
- Coach managers on effectively managing Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
- Enhance managerial capabilities in people processes.
- Train managers and employees on developing Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and support the execution of development plans.
- Talent & Succession Management
- Oversee new hire induction and orientation programs.
Employee Engagement & Communication
- Organize and lead communication initiatives, including town halls.
- Drive an engagement and retention strategy for the respective R & D functions in business units.
- Foster a culture of engagement through structured feedback support in the OHS process and action planning.
- Compliance & Analytics
- Ensure adherence to HR policies and legal compliance thus supporting in building a culture o compliance.
- Leverage HR analytics to support data-driven decision-making.
- Leadership & Strategic HR Responsibilities
- Looks beyond existing methodologies and disciplines to define and resolve complex problems.
- Develops plans and delivers results in fast-changing business and/or regulatory environments.
- Provides input into functional or departmental people related strategy.
- Manages team of senior HR professionals and provide leadership.
- May contribute directly to business priorities and strategic planning.
- Provides Leadership to managers, supervisors, and/or professional staff in
- Is accountable for the HR performance metrics such as engagement scores, attrition etc for multiple related units.
- Develops departmental plans, including business and/or organizational priorities.
- Management of resources and shapes policy within their area of responsibility.
- Makes decisions guided by resource availability and functional objectives.
- Work with other HR leaders for leading change in the organization.
Your experience and qualifications
- A Master’s degree in Human Resources Management is preferred.
- The candidate should have over 12 to 14 years of experience in all aspects of human resources management and development, with at least the last 5 years spent leading a strategic business unit or division.
- They should possess working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and more.
- Experience in multi-site and/or global organizations is essenyial.
- The ability to work in matrix environments and collaborate with global stakeholders is essential.
- The candidate must demonstrate expertise in strategic HR management, including planning and policy development, talent management, recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits, training and staff development, employee relations, and performance management.
