How you’ll spend your day

  • Direct the management of the monthly /Quarterly /Yearly closing of the financial systems, ensuring that all activities are executed in a timely manner and in accordance with accounting policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Continual monitoring and assessment of the analytical tools and reports utilized with a focus on systems and process enhancements supporting financial management of the company.
  • Maintain and/or develop internal accounting controls. Organize and communicate accounting policies and procedures as needed. Ensure that accounting processes and operational functions are designed effectively to meet standard internal and GAAP controls and are implemented and consistently performed for all related activities.
  • Work closely with SAP IT team in adoption of new ERP system and improve business capabilities and processes relations to Accounting operations
  • Direct and manage departmental staff through goal setting, guidance and coaching. Prioritize and assign departmental goals and projects; and provide developmental opportunities.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the accounting department
  • Execute the development and implementation of accounting functions.
  • Support expansion and establishment of new entities (if any in future)
  • Fully responsible for the financial accounting/reporting  as per USGAAP / IGAAP (Ind AS and AS) and monthly management reporting
  • Leading statutory, internal, cost , IFC and special audits and ensuring all Compliance/Closure  related to it .
  • Finalization of annual financial statements as per Ind AS or AS and presentation to the Senior Management.
  • Implementing and reinforcing ICFR and Teva group reporting policies and procedures
  • Continuous process improvements through automation and simplification of existing processes
  • Transfer pricing / unilateral advance pricing compliance and tax audit support in alignment with Tax team.
  • Support to tax function for direct and indirect tax assessments
  • Lead and enhance internal processes to drive operational efficiency and to ensure compliance with internal policies, controls and procedures.
  • Develop , monitor, and implement SOP related to finance function .
  • Budgeting /Forecasting and variance analysis vs actual of complete finance function for AOP/LBE and actuals 
  • Leading/Supporting projects like legal entity restructuring, cash repatriation, GBS transition, etc.
  • Preparation/Presentation of Consolidated Report at India level of Finance/Non-Finance parameters .
  • Demonstrate leadership and training skills to further develop managers and analysts within the department.
  • Overall Review of the GBS finance activity related to PAT function for India.
  • Ensuring Record keeping as per Teva /Income Tax policy and providing the same when required.

Your experience and qualifications

  • CA / CPA with minimum 10-12years of experience in leading accounting function in manufacturing industry preferably in pharmaceutical sector.
  • CS as an additional qualification will be preferred.
  • SAP implementation experience will be preferred.
  • 4-5 years of people management experience overseeing accounting and finance professionals and staff at all levels 
  • Demonstrated experience managing financial and government audits and working with external auditors; and managing financial and managerial reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable, receivable and general ledger.
  • Experience in SAP, HFM or any other consolidation ERP
