Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an Equipment Maintenance Technician interested in joining us in Baldoyle, Dublin. The role is full-time and temporary (12 months contract).

 

Key responsibilities

  • Support and adhere to established maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain production and facility equipment in strict accordance with maintenance instructions, SOPs, and cGMPs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and calibration schedules on all manufacturing and service equipment as specified in the maintenance procedures.
  • Execute machine changeovers between batches according to established procedures.
  • Fault find, resolve problems and provide written reports on equipment so that equipment is available to meet the manufacturing and development schedules.
  • Assist in monitoring (and improving) performance of key equipment.
  • Undertake installation work.
  • Keep accurate real time records of maintenance activities.
  • Complete all required data entries with detail and accuracy in real time.
  • Observe established escalation process for issues impacting established production-related Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and/or fulfilment of production goals.
  • Recognize and report to immediate supervisor any process or equipment anomalies and/or deviations from accepted standards.
  • Provide status updates on maintenance activities and operational challenges according to defined procedures.
  • Execute machine changeovers between batches according to established SOPs and SLAs.
  • Seek process innovation and continuous process improvement in production area.
  • Complete and conform to all training requirements for job role, including company-required and role-specific training.

 

The successful candidate will work on 2 cycle shift:

Early shift

Monday - Thursday: 06.30 to 14.30

Friday: 06.00 to 14.00

 

Late shift

Monday - Thursday: 14.30  to 23.00

Friday: 14.00 to 20.00

Qualifications

  • Mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation craft qualification – preferably in the Pharmaceutical industry or  relevant technical qualification in Engineering with minimum 5 years industrial experience in a relevant engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical, Process or Plant Engineering
  • Previous experience in Facilities/Utilities, maintenance or project experience including HVAC, Purified water and Clean air within the GMP/ pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills in addition to strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record in continuous improvement projects, understanding, knowledge and experience of reliability centred asset care.
  • Demonstrate developed trouble shooting and problem-solving abilities including detailed understanding of RCA techniques.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and implementation of 5S, TPM, SMED, and other lean/six sigma/continuous improvement tools.
  • Strong data analysis and analytical skills is beneficial
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret CAD drawings.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • Ability to think logically and be proactive.
  • Flexible and self-motivated.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of preventive (PM) and predictive (PdM) maintenance procedures and techniques.
  • Experience in the use of CMMS Systems.
