Who we are
The opportunity
- This role is responsible for the strategic and operational management of pharmaceutical products within a dynamic and growing pharmaceutical company based in Auckland CBD
- The Commercial Manager will play a key role in driving commercial success through market forecasting, product lifecycle management, execution of targeted marketing initiatives, and meaningful engagement with healthcare professionals (HCPs)
- Contribute to product funding strategies, pricing governance and cross functional collaboration to ensure product availability and regulatory compliance
How you’ll spend your day
- Monitor brand performance and ROI of marketing initiatives
- Develop & maintain sales forecasts for generic products, incorporating market dynamics, competitor activity and historical data
- Manage in market product changes including pricing updates
- Work with the Head of Commercial Operations NZ on the development of product funding submissions and other product commercialisation strategies
- Coordinate product availability and continuity with supply chain and regulatory teams
- Provide input into business planning and budget processes
- Working collaboratively with local team and where necessary colleagues outside of NZ
- Develop and implement communication programs for healthcare professionals to support the use of complex generics
- Create & distribute educational materials such as usage guides, demonstration samples and instructional videos
- Ensure compliance with Medsafe and other regulatory requirements
Your experience and qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in commercial, brand or product marketing in the pharmaceutical industry in New Zealand
- Tertiary degree in science, business or a related discipline
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, external partners and HCPs, ensuring alignment and impact
- Ability to design and deliver effective communication programs and educational materials tailored to HCPs, particularly for complex generics
- Strong analytical skills with ability to use financial acumen to make informed business decisions
- Proficiency in Excel and forecasting tools together with competence in MS office suite
- Knowledge of the NZ generic pharmaceutical market
