Purpose of the position

Responsible for the implementation and support of global contracts in region/country and actively manages and leads the locally managed categories within the global procurement organization, generating and delivering  ongoing value through year-over-year savings. Acts  as Procurement BP to the management being the voice of procurement in the management meetings when required

Responsibilities
  • Ensures the implementation of prioritized global and regional initiatives
  • Solicit input from local businesses to develop understanding of local requirements, and communicates to the regional procurement organization
  • Identifies opportunities to consolidate locally managed categories at the regional/ country-wide level
  • Ensures realization of the  savings targets for the category/site
  • Develops and maintain knowledge-base of locally managed categories In his/her area of responsibility;       
  • Being a contact partner for suppliers as well as for our internal customers and escalation step for several departments towards our suppliers
  • Identifies local business needs and priorities, collaborating across functions and providing advice to the executive management team
Main tasks
  • Drives continuous improvement of Indirect Procurement service delivery
  • Working on projects for process improvements
  • Negotiates  local contracts  and work on consolidation of spend and price lists
  • Experienced in defining and reporting on business focused performance metrics (KPIs)

  • Solid understanding of contract management and P2P best practices, policies and tools
  • Good experience with Ariba, Financial and ERP systems and reporting solutions
  • MS office skills (e.g., excel and power point)
  • Fluent in English
Professional Profile

Background

  • 5+ years Procurement with experience in contract negotiation process
  • Ariba Sourcing and Contract Management and P2P experience
  • Pharma industry experience: 3+ years preferred
  • Master or Bachelor's degree in business
