Main activities and responsibilities

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  • Accountable for the results of the in-country payroll.
  • Works as first point of contact for the in-country payroll.
  • Ensures the organization’s payroll is completed in a timely and accurate manner via ADP accurately creating, maintaining and validating employee payroll data and records by gathering calculating monitoring and inputting data as necessary.
  • Ensures the production of payroll output for finance.
  • Is confident in managing escalations presented to payroll.
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures and complies with relevant laws.
  • Ensures payroll controls are in place and are adhered to.
  • Takes the lead with complex queries from employees, finance functions, outsourced payroll provider and third party suppliers in a professional, timely and competent manner.
  • Responsible for creating and maintain a payroll data verification procedure.
  • Responsible for keeping all payroll data safe and confidential at all times while adhering to local rules for data protection (GDPR).
  • Provides development opportunities for team members and provides coaching sessions where required.
  • Takes the lead on year end responsibilities and any other adhoc processes.
  • Awareness of the workload priorities, time management and adherence to deadlines to ensure task completion.

 


MAIN ACTIVITIES:

 

  • Monitors payroll data collection – intervenes to gather critical data/details related to employee H2R cycle. 
  • Co-ordinates the local payroll team.
  • Co-ordinates efforts with the shared service team Zagreb (ASKHR) / 3rd Party labor law consultant to ensure delivery of data for payroll is accurate, clear and complete.
  • Produces and supplies regular and on-demand payroll reports as and when requested to do so.
  • Monitors and responds to incoming calls, e-mails, post and messages to ensure a first class service for all employees.
  • Manages requests/communication from governmental bodies (INPS/INAIL/Agenzia delle Entrate) in order to ensure compliance in fiscal/contribution law for payroll.
  • Verifies data for payroll by checking carefully the information received and actively seeking solutions as required.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
  • Ensures compliance with regional, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.

Requirements

 

Background:

 

  • Bachelor/Master Degree.
  • At least 5 years of experience in HR Management / Operations.
  • Knowledge of Pharma-Chemical business and labor law.

 

Competencies:

 

  • Proficiency in Italian and English languages IS A MUST.
  • Keen eye for data & analytics.
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
