The Opportunity

This is an outstanding opportunity to join Teva a market leading Generics powerhouse as our SVP European Generics Lead, reporting to the Executive Vice President European Commercial. You will have responsibility for the European Gx growth, portfolio, pipeline, business development and launch excellence, optimisation (including complexity reduction), pricing strategy, go to market, CSL and CoG’s. You will manage key relationships with the European Leadership Team, Global Gx team and stakeholders & Country Gx teams.

Job Purpose:

  • Translate Teva Gx strategy into European and Country priorities
  • Significant contributor to EU strategic priorities and plans, balancing Gx needs with enterprise mind set to deliver optimal outputs for Teva
  • Maximises Gx growth drivers for Europe and ensures optimal business performance in the markets
  • Fosters innovative practices to create sustainable growth
  • Fosters a high-performing organisation with a focus on performance-driven culture
  • Supports Country GM’s and Pivotal talent to ensure right capabilities are in place to execute Regional plans
  • Fosters the “Tone at the Top” for our ethical behaviour, integrity, compliance standards and policies

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Translates Teva strategy into European and Country priorities

 

Financial Management & Execution:

  • Consolidate Regional annual plans to improve overall Gx business and financial results (e.g. AOP and LRP including full accountability for European CTS/NGO business)

 

Commercial Operations:

  • Contract with European Transform 2.0 & functional leaders to ensure highest level of service provision for Region in most cost-efficient way

 

Adaptability and Change Management:

  • Lead the organization through transformation and periods of change, adapting strategies to respond to evolving market conditions ensuring for business continuity

 

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other regional and global leaders to ensure alignment and consistency in strategy and operations

 

Talent Management & Capabilities:

  • Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing and diverse team
  • Lead and develop existing leadership assets to enhance the capabilities of the management team

 

Experience & Qualifications

  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience preferably including multi-functional, market General Management (P&L), regional or global role experiences
  • A minimum of bachelor's degree in life or medical sciences, business or equivalent is preferred.
  • Possess general management/strong commercial expertise with the ability to strategize and manage a “complex” business model
  • Track record of successful achievements and progression
  • Demonstrated success in working in a complex, fast-paced matrix environment in a multi-national company, experience in pharmaceuticals industry is required
  • Successfully applied business acumen, spanning multiple functions and a track record of driving innovation and growth
  • Experience creating and executing complex strategic plans in a global matrix environment
  • Great understanding of financials (P&L, accruals, balance sheet, capital investment, forecasting and supply chain)
  • Ability to effectively communicate strategies and decisions
  • Demonstrate outstanding leadership capabilities, building an inclusive and diverse working environment
  • Experience with building/managing high performing teams and shows strong capability of managing and decision making in matrix environment
  • Track record of leading people through organizational transformation/change, building talent and developing organizational capabilities
  • A successful track record of managing business transformation and ability to fully embrace the changes that the company aims to make for its future
  • Ability to serve as an excellent catalyst for change management
  • Ability to being effective in a multinational company and have a global mind-set and cultural flexibility
  • Demonstrate knowledge of healthcare, Market Trends, Regulatory, Competitors & Customer Insights, Digital & understanding of global environment (customer, patient, trends, payer)
