Your role

As Senior Director Opex Global Procurement, you will be working closely with global procurement leadership and global OpEx, establishing operational and financial performance targets, aligning resources, identifying and building required capabilities across the procurement organization. You will also be tasked with engaging and energizing teams, integrating appropriate governance and change management processes to achieve the overall Procurement Long Range Plan (LRP) and Annual Operating Plan (AOP).

Your responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of Procurement strategy to deliver LRP and AOP performance goals
  • Lead process to conduct assessments, target setting, and identify required capabilities and initiatives
  • Develop and execute plan, and integrate appropriate governance to track progress and achieve operational and/or financial performance targets
  • Lead problem solving and co-owns accountability for attainment of performance targets
  • Build appropriate OpEx capabilities to deliver and sustain performance objectives
  • Build category management capabilities according to best practices
  • Promote next gen analytical solutions as part of category management
  • Develop and implements processes to engage and energize teams including sharing of best practice
  • Provide problem solving support to project teams and leads special segment and global initiatives as needed

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related engineering/technical or scientific discipline preferred
  • MBA or relevant Masters - desirable
  • Black Belt (BB) certification is desirable but not required
  • Minimum 10 years’ of recent experience in procurement, leading large scale procurement transformation initiatives within global organizations
  • Preferably experience within Pharmaceutical, Consumer Products, Chemicals, and Medical Device sectors
  • Proven track record of high performance and career advancement 
  • Top tier Consulting firm experience is desirable
  • Five years’ prior operations experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering or other is desirable
  • Strong analytical skills, effective communicator, organized and structured thinker with strong project management, training facilitation, and change management skills
  • Fluency in English, excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Must be able to travel a minimum of 30% globally (Primarily Europe, NA and IL)

Location & reports to

Position base is preferably in Europe, specifically in NL, reports to VP, Global OpEx.
