Teva’s Global Research & Development (R&D) organization is devoted to the development of new medicines, devices and combination products that provide meaningful therapeutic benefit to patients worldwide. Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Director, Global Medical Affairs you will lead the Global Medical Affairs Respiratory Therapeutic Area, provide medico-scientific expertise and leadership for Teva’s respiratory marketed product portfolio, late stage development compounds, the biologic pipeline, and the digital platform. 


In this role you will…


  • Design and execute of the Global Medical Affairs plan including: Phase IIIb/IV trial activities, the review of Investigator sponsored studies and Real-world evidence projects, development of the publication and engagement strategy with external experts, governing bodies and patient organisations.
  • Provide rigorous scientific and medical foundation for the acceptance and usage of Teva’s respiratory products, preparation of commercialization ensuring medical launch readiness and medico-scientific leadership in the ongoing life cycle management of marketed products.
  • Provide translation and seamless execution of the Global Medical Affairs strategy into Regional Medical Affairs plans from initiation of regional pre-launch activities to post-launch.
  • Lead the Global Medical Affairs strategy team and members of the Global Medical Launch and Global Medical Matrix teams.
  • Provide medical leadership and expertise in the target development strategy. Advise the Clinical Development team on late stage development plans, target product profiles, health economics and outcomes research needs and lifecycle management. 
  • Partner with all relevant functions responsible for compounds in phase IIa/b development and provide medical expertise and guidance on external stakeholder needs, mode of disease, clinical approach on management/treatment algorithms and unmet needs to ensure registration and pricing and reimbursement criteria are met.
  • Coordinate integrated strategic planning for assigned medicines within Global Medical Affairs as well as with strategic Commercial partners (Marketing, Digital, Market Access, Market Insights), Health Economics & Outcomes Research, Clinical Development, Biostatistics, Project Management and Regulatory Affairs.  


This role can be based at any Teva site in Europe or the USA.

Your profile

  • MD qualification or advanced practice practitioner degree 
  • Specialty in respiratory medicine / immunology or critical care 
  • Proven pharmaceutical industry experience and global product launch experience 
  • Proven leadership experience in developing and leading medical strategy and executing medical plans 
  • Proven people management experience 
  • Experience in drug development, clinical trial design, regulatory requirements, business development and life cycle management (desirable)
  • Ability to work cross-functionally within a complex matrix environment 
  • Executive presence, excellent communication and multi-stakeholder management skills
