Your responsibilities

The As EU Medical Excellence and Digital Transformation Director you will be responsible for enabling the operational effectiveness of EU Medical Affairs. This is a change management role that will establish ways of working to enable consistent delivery of medical value. Therefore, you responsibilities include: 

  • Ensuring that the EU Field Medical team delivers value to customers in person and through digitally enhanced approaches
  • Defining and leading the EU Medical Affairs digital strategy and execution including building agile medical capabilities and ways of working
  • Collaborating closely with the Global Digital Center of Excellence to drive transformation efforts to all EU Medical affairs teams (including in-market) through various strategic and tactical initiatives
  • Working with the relevant internal and external teams to operationally deliver digital tactics that fit the plans
  • Responsibility for delivery of EU Medical Dashboard and associated metrics with cross-functional teams by timely collection, reporting and aligned interpretation of performance metrics and key activities of the extended Medical department
  • Development and local implementation of new tools & systems (CRM, Copy approval, Dashboards, financial reporting)
  • Commitment to full compliance with all company SOPs, regulatory requirements, and applicable laws (i.e.,: PhRMA, EFPIA, ABHI, JPMA, etc.) guidelines for field-based personnel
  • Managing staff to comply with internal policies and procedures and external Medical Affairs related industry standards and regulations
  • Proactively identifying any pressure points/ potential breach and take remedial actions to avoid violation of policies
  • Ensuring that the team member maximizes their individual contribution and that they are developed in line with their and the organizational goal
  • Communicating EU Medical needs credibly and effectively across a variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Coordinating and align with all Medical functions, including but not limited to Pharmacovigilance, HEOR, Global & International Medical Directors, and Scientific Affairs

Your profile

  • Advanced degree required (MD, Pharmacy, PhD)
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry required with at least 3 years of medical affairs capability development
  • Demonstrable project leadership capabilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Proficiency in English language required
  • Demonstrated cross-functional working style & leadership
  • Experience and ability to work within a matrix organization
