Main activities and responsibilities

 

Workforce Strategy and People Development

 

People strategy and development:

 

  • Implements a people development strategy at its site and translates it into relevant actions, enabling the site to attract, retain and engage the number of talents needed to deliver business results.
  • Develops and executes a plan to prioritize and meet the site's current and future skills needs, through internal staff development and external people acquisition, to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Contributes to the training of people managers to ensure that the appropriate level of attention is given to assessing employee capabilities and implementing concrete actions for development.
  • Facilitates learning and growth programs for relevant segments of the corporate population.
  • Promotes employee involvement through specific programs in order to create a positive working environment.
  • Understands the external business/work and regulatory environments, identifies risks and/or opportunities and defines innovative strategies/risk mitigation plans with your HR Manager to ensure the availability and effectiveness of talent.

 

Business Partnering & Organizational Effectiveness:

 

  • Performs routine KPI reporting to deliver business performance. 
  • Supports site leadership in the implementation of effective performance management, recognizing and rewarding processes and performance to ensure best results are maintained.
  • Maintains open and constant communication with stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with Site General Managers, Site leadership team and people managers to execute defined and shared business strategy plans.

 

Effectiveness of labour relations:

 

  • Promotes the employee's relation culture and at the site. 
  • Promotes industrial relations with Trade Unions.
  • Works closely with HR team to understand and implement programs that drive standardization across business units while ensuring specific business needs are met.
  • Effectively implements and supports the shared service delivery model in support of business objectives.
  • Manages specific employee engagement, labour relations and employee relations issues.
  • Ensures compliance with labour laws and local government regulations.
  • Collaborates with HR Managers, Site General Manager and Site Leadership Team to effectively manage interactions with trade unions, keeping a channel of communication and discussion open on possible situations, expectations and issues.
  • Leads the local implementation of new/annual HR programs. 
  • Facilitates learning and growth solutions at site level.

Requirements

 

Education:


Masters Degree in Human Resources Management and/or other relevant certifications are a plus.

 

Skills:

 

  • Business partnering. Understands business expectations and needs and translates business priorities and requirements into strategies.
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving. Analyses and interprets data to solve problems, identifying the root cause and developing appropriate corrective plans.
  • People development. Facilitates learning and growth solutions at site level.
  • Organisational competence. Understands how the organisation and its complexity. 
  • Interpersonal relations. Develops strong and effective relationships with site leadership and business partners, enabling clear communication of site business needs and operational goals; establishes and maintains effective relationships within human resources to share best practices and jointly solve problems to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Technical competence. Applies knowledge of labour law to mitigate employee relations problems at the site.
  • HR service orientation. Actively seeks opportunities to maintain or improve the quality of HR service, reducing costs and bureaucracy at site level.
