We are looking for qualified candidate for the role of Senior Director Environmental Health and Safety, based in Dupnitsa.

 

The opportunity

 

The Senior Director Environmental Health and Safety ensures site EHS compliance through the co-ordination, development and promotion of appropriate policies, procedures, plans and strategy.
To ensure site security processes are developed and maintained at a level requisite to the evolving business environment.

 

How you’ll spend your day

 

•    Lead EHS Regulatory Compliance
Provide guidance to site managers and employees, conduct internal and support external audits, to ensure compliance with all applicable requirements. Design corrective and preventative action plans.
•    Assess and Mitigate Risks
Identify EHS risks and define proactive mitigations. Ensure that site investment and changes in processes, equipment, and systems are carried out in accordance with the concepts of EHS by design and relevant EHS requirements and cGMP
•    Design and Implement Annual EHS Plan 
In collaboration with the site leadership team, create, implement, monitor and update the site EHS plan
•    Monitor, Analyze and Share EHS Information 
Provide necessary information and data to site managers and supervisors, Global EHS and other internal and external stakeholders, in order to support the achievement of EHS objectives and enhance Teva’s reputation
•    Promote a Sustainable EHS Culture 
Create and maintain an EHS culture throughout the site that inspires a proactive attitude and a firm belief that ‘target zero’ is achievable. Create a space where people can speak openly and are encouraged to present new ideas about EHS stewardship
•    Provide Expertise, Guidance, Coaching and Training
Develop and implement training programs, provide coaching, expertise and guidance to  managers and employees of the site
•    Lead Continuous EHS Improvement
Lead continuous improvement in EHS using Operational Excellence principles and visible-felt leadership to achieve 'target zero' goals and to enable compliant operations and business effectiveness
•    Lead the Site EHS Team
Identify, recruit, develop and retain qualified EHS professionals to provide EHS services to the site. Implement managerial practices to ensure the EHS team’s high performance, modeling Teva's values and leadership framework
•    Site Leadership Team Member
Serve as an influential member of the site leadership team, who impacts decision making and takes an active role in promoting cross-site initiatives, teamwork and collaboration across site functions
•    Member of the Global Network & Professional Community
Bring global best practices into the site and actively share site perspective, knowledge and lessons learned to contribute and support a best-in-class professional level of EHS globally.
•    Manage Relations with Regulatory Agencies, the Local Community and external suppliers
Develop trusted and proactive relationships with regulatory agencies, local community and external suppliers to promote compliance and social responsibility, in Teva's business interest.

 

Competencies

 

•    Adequate technical knowledge in EHS (such as: waste, water, air emissions, audit and inspection, industrial hygiene, hazard communication, ergonomics, lab safety, process safety and EHS management systems).
•    Basic knowledge of local current and upcoming legislation and current best EHS practices. 
•    Basic knowledge of cGMP requirements for products, process and systems. 
•    Basic knowledge of OPEX principles and tools.

 

Your experience and qualifications

 

•    Master's Degree – engineering degree or related science-based degree
•    10+ years of Advanced EHS experience in industrial environment, related to the large-scale facility (pharmaceutical, food, petrochemical or similar industry)
•    Extensive professional knowledge in EHS area and practical experience with site EHS programs 
•    Experience in people management
•    Previos experience in international / matrix organization is an advantage
•    English Proficiency - Business and EHS specific
