Job Description

The Program Director will be responsible for on time delivery of long term multi project strategic initiatives and key product change projects across the TGO Global network with focus on timeline, quality and cost. The position will work closely with Network and Product Strategy, Supply Chain and Regional leadership, and will lead regular reviews to ensure that initiative goals and targets remain aligned to business needs. The position is responsible for communicating and managing prioritization decisions and risk mitigation activities.

Detailed description of KEY responsibilities:

  • Establishes and aligns tactical program execution plans (timelines, resource, costs) with key stakeholders
  • Accountable for on time delivery of long term multi project strategic initiatives in cooperation with key stakeholders
  • Monitors and accurately reports on program status & performance
  • Ensures cross project alignment with key stakeholders
  • Provides leadership and functional direction to cross functional project teams.
  • Develop project plans with project teams
  • Responsible for meeting key project success criteria, like timeliness of established project milestones.
  • Works with project teams to identify timeline, quality or cost risks and execute recovery strategies where required
  • Facilitates decision making and prioritization within the teams and with senior management.
  • Owns and manages all internal and external stakeholder relationships required for successful program execution
  • Ensure team building and good working relationships between members. Ensure programs are executed in an open, professional working environment.
  • Develop project management skills within the Network Strategy Execution team and at relevant sites
  • Drive improvement in project management systems through improving communication, tracking & reporting processes

     

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in a technical or scientific discipline. An advanced degree in a related field or MBA is highly desirable; Project Management certification is a plus
  • 15+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, and/or Regulatory, etc. with increasing levels of responsibility in a pharmaceutical or other regulated environment.
  • Experience in managing, tracking and reporting on programs of technical projects
  • Experience in project management of multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Experience with project management systems and Microsoft platform applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project); Cognos or other data analysis tools
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and technology
  • Awareness of Regulatory and GMP guideline applicable to pharmaceutical industry
  • Understanding of supply chain requirements
  • Solid understanding of the global business and the technical, regulatory and quality aspects of pharmaceuticals manufacturing and supply chain.
  • Ability to coordinate complex projects, and to lead and inspire diverse internal and external resources
  • Ability to resolve problems and  handle complexity and ambiguity in a dynamic environment and adjust quickly to meet to meet changes in departmental and company requirements
  • Ability to think strategically, a large amount of data and information, think objectively, and present facts and recommendations to senior executives
