The Associated Director, Global Procurement, Device Category is responsible for Procurement activities supporting various sub categories of Respiratory and Sterile Devices which are incorporated into Teva’s portfolio of products. The Associated Director will be assigned responsibility for certain sub-categories of Devices. It will be the responsibility of the Associated Director to develop a strategy for these sub-category, to agree that strategy with the Global Procurement organization and relevant stakeholders through the Stage Gate Review process and to then implement that strategy in close collaboration with other procurement colleagues and stakeholders. Such implementation includes establishing and updating a preferred supplier network by technology with proper master service agreements in place, and building of a multi-year TCO savings initiatives pipeline.  


The Associated Director, GP, Device Category will manage their category strategy to ensure it is in line with Teva’s corporate strategy and Teva’s financial goals. The role will seek to ensure stability and security of supply in line with defined current and future business needs at higher quality, shortest lead times and at lowest total cost. 


Primary accountabilities:


Provide Procurement support for the full lifecycle of Devices including:

•    Provision of Sourcing Options for Development projects
•    Conduct an RFP process to identify most suitable suppliers
•    Negotiate Development and Supply agreements
•    Develop a solid savings initiatives pipeline and successfully implement such initiatives
•    Support projects through Development phases
•    Support projects through Industrialisation phase onto launch
•    Negotiate prices for development and commercial volumes
•    Manage vendor relationships through the SRM process
•    Monitor risks associated with supply and mitigate against those risks
•    Support Supply Chain with any risks around supply
•    Support AOP (budgeting) process with provision of annual pricing
•    Act as escalation point for any issues with Supplier



•    Degree in Supply Chain, Materials Mgmt., Purchasing, Business or Engineering is desirable
•    MBA or relevant MS degree preferred
•    5+ years of procurement, supply chain, or related experience
•    Pharmaceutical industry experience: 3+ years preferred 
•    Overall portfolio of experience in these areas will be considered
•    Professional certification in purchasing or supply chain is desirable, e.g. from ISM (CPSM, CSM, CPM), from APICS (CPIM, CIRM), from EPIM, etc.
•    Market knowledge and insight to gain critical insights that drive the selection of sourcing strategies and continuous improvement activities
•    Demonstrated capabilities in sourcing & supplier strategies, cost optimization, supplier relationship management and supplier risk management 
•    Strong interpersonal skills including cross-functional teamwork with written and oral communication skills
•    Ability to interface and influence senior stakeholders up to VP/SVP level
•    Strong negotiation skills, exceptional analytical skills, strong multi-cultural skills, high energy level, and a bias towards action
•    Solid understanding of procurement best practices 
•    Ability to draw strategic insights from complex analyses and effectively summarize and present to stakeholders 
•    Ability to quantify financial benefits for identified opportunities and initiatives
•    Understanding of international business and contract law
•    Previous experience with transformation initiatives and change management process preferred 
•    MS office skilled (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
