Teva Biopharmaceuticals, USA (TBU) is responsible for developing innovative and biobetter biologics for Teva Pharmaceuticals - the largest generics company in the world. Located in West Chester, PA the team specializes in both Global Bioassay and Technology, and CMC Biologics. We have a range of products in various stages of clinical development from IND through BLA filing including, innovative mAbs, extended half-life biobetters and biosimilar products.
As the Automation Infrastructure Engineer you will be responsible, as part of the biologics support group, for the development and delivery of the IT Infrastructure to support the Manufacturing Systems to enable the start-up, commissioning and qualification of our Bulk Drug Substance manufacturing facility.
You will contribute to the technical strategy and execution of the Automation IT Infrastructure (domain control and networking) and work closely together with the IT Department, Automation Engineers, Process Equipment Engineers and vendors to ensure the defined standards are followed consistently across projects and are used as intended.
Other Duties:
- Coordinate the design, development, installation and qualification of the IT Infrastructure and to ensure alignment with the project schedule to enable equipment FAT’s, on-site SAT’s, along with commissioning and validation of the process systems to meet the overall project schedule.
- Define and implement procedures required for the successful implementation of automation systems and to ensure the smooth transition of the manufacturing systems to site sustaining activities.
Qualifications
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, business information systems, automation engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience Administrating Microsoft Windows Sever
- Minimum 2 years of experience in networking (VLAN, Switches, Routing)
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with virtual environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Administrating SQL Server
- Experience in Administrating Manufacturing Batch control systems and Historians
- Understanding of documentation, such as Hardware Design, Network Design, FAT and SAT documentation
- Knowledge of cGMP particularly as it applies to biologics manufacturing and automated systems
