Job Summary

As Senior Compliance Manager & General Counsel ANZ, with dual reporting to the Regional Director of Compliance and General Manager ANZ, you will be responsible for leading compliance excellence, together with providing commercially astute legal advice to our commercial teams.

Job Description



  • Implementation of Compliance program in Teva Australia and New Zealand
  • Build internal processes and procedures based on corporate rules and regulations, applicable laws and regulations (including the industry code).
  • Provide advice & training to all business stakeholders regarding defined compliance & ethical standards and potential compliance risks.
  • Complete timely review of operational risks and conduct risk assessments and monitoring on a yearly/quarterly basis.
  • Ensure implementation of Due Diligence process for all Third Party Representatives.
  • Review of promotional or non-promotional documents to ensure the documents are in line with all relevant laws.
  • Manage all systems and approval processes.


  • Provide legal advice and support to commercial teams.
  • Provide contract review, drafting and negotiation support, in line with relevant legislation.
  • Prepare and file state registration of changes to company statutory documents.
  • Identify and implement forums and activities to ensure education on relevant regulations and legislation is shared across the company.
  • Advise employees on current legislation.
  • Manage responses to requests from public authorities.


  • Bachelor of Law with sound professional experience in the ANZ pharmaceutical industry, at a local or regional level.
  • Experience in contract drafting, review and negotiation.
  • Demonstrated experience of leading compliance at a country level.
  • Excellent communication & decision making skills to drive a high level of engagement and compliance.
  • Ability to effectively use database and software applications.
