The opportunity
Picking & Receiving department manager is responsible for driving operational across warehouse receiving and order fulfillment processes. This role ensures alignment with business objectives, optimizes end-to-end workflows, and fosters a high-performance culture through leadership, coaching, and continuous improvement initiatives
How you’ll spend your day
- Provide end-to-end leadership and accountability for all Receiving and Picking operations.
- Ensure best-practice standards in safety, quality, service, and operational efficiency aligned with business objectives.
- Drive process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
- Build the annual operational plan and monitor progress using clear KPIs and performance metrics.
- Manage departmental budgets, resource allocation, and cost-optimization initiatives.
- Develop, implement, and enforce robust departmental policies, procedures, and operating standards.
- Lead by example and mentor managers and team leads to strengthen operational capabilities and overall team performance.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all operational functions.
- Ensure operational performance supports customer satisfaction, service-level commitments, and broader supply chain objectives.
- Lead major organizational projects, process improvements, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with department managers and the executive team to align priorities, resolve operational challenges, and drive strategic outcomes.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement innovative technologies, tools, and practices to enhance operational excellence.
Your experience and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field - mandatory; MBA - preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain, warehouse, or distribution operations, including at least 3–4 years in a senior leadership role.
- Demonstrated track record in operational excellence and process improvement (Lean / Six Sigma certification preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Expertise with WMS and ERP systems and a high level of technological proficiency.
- Proven leadership capabilities, including team development, coaching, and performance management.
- Excellent communication skills, with strong stakeholder management and collaboration abilities.
- Innovative mindset with the ability to drive change and challenge existing processes.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various levels of the organization.
- High proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
