Job Description

We are seeking a biological researcher to join a multi-disciplinary team focused on projects in the area of neuroscience.  Quality focused, detailed oriented individual with previous neuroscience experience is preferable.  


  • Experience in culturing mammalian cells (screening, feeding, passaging, harvesting, cryopreservation) and aseptic technique is required. In addition, experience with performing primary isolations of specific cell types from human and animal tissues by using dissection or other isolation methods is highly desired.  
  • Biochemical techniques in performing cell based assays, ELISA, flow-cytometry is preferable.
  • Perform various tasks required for receiving and preparing tissue specimens for microscopic examination, imaging and analysis from our internal in vivo studies.  
  • Will learn to annotate imaging data for quantitative digital pathology analysis and archival storage. Basic histology techniques of cutting, mounting and staining procedures is preferable, though not required.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining of mammalian cell lines, and working with cell based assays for the testing and characterization of internal compounds supported by the development of a variety of different biochemical technologies. This also includes annotation and quantification of sectioned animal tissue and cells using pathology imaging software to support our in vivo studies.


Requirements of Ideal Candidate:


  • Minimum of a B.S. or M.S. degree in biological sciences, ideally with laboratory research experience.


Experience you will bring to your role:


  • Minimum of two plus years of experience in cell-based work with an expertise in culturing various cell lines within a Pharma/Biotech organization.
  • Will consider internship experience with one plus years of experience in cell-based work.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop is desired
  • Utilize scientific literature to design experiments and improve methods
