Job Description

The Sr. Manager of Sampling and Credentialing/Licensing Administration will support the Sampling and Credentialing/Licensing functions within Sales Operations for all field/sales based personnel. The role is responsible for managing Sample Accountability for both Direct-to-Rep and Direct-to-Practitioner sampling programs in conjunction with our third party vendor ensuring compliance to Teva policy, Prescription Drug Marketing Act (PDMA), DEA, Federal and State regulations to effectively meet the commercial and field/sales business needs. The role will also be responsible for supporting the strategy and continued development of a comprehensive Field Credentialing and Licensing program and managing day to day activities of our third party vendor.

 

  • Manage all Sample Accountability and auditing functions for Direct-to-Rep and Direct-to-Practitioner sampling programs in conjunction with Sample Vendor.
  • Monitor Direct-to-Rep and Direct-to-Practitioner Sampling programs to ensure PDMA, DEA, State and Federal regulation compliance.
  • Coordinate Audits of Sampling operational business functions and implementation of corrective measures where necessary.
  • Manage and coordinate day to day activities for Field Credentialing and Licensing Vendor(s) in support of Teva’s sales and field personnel.
  • Develop and define program strategy and management of the Pharmaceutical Detailer License Programs for all field personnel.  Support License Programs for Washington, D.C., Chicago, IL, Nevada, Ohio and compliance to future states/cities/district initiatives.
  • Responsible for FDA, State and Federal audit and compliance reporting related to Sampling and Credentialing/Licensing programs.
  • Develop and update required trainings for Teva’s processes and policies for Sampling and Credentialing/Licensing and manage deployment of training in Teva’s Learning Management System. Monitor roll-out and compliance of all training courses. 
  • Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements to track Sampling and Credentialing/Licensing vendor performance, adherence to statements of work and service levels.
  • Develop and manage Sampling and Credentialing/Licensing SOPs and policy documents, to ensure compliance with PDMA, DEA, State and Federal regulations and Teva policies and procedures
  • Manage Sampling and Credentialing/Licensing budgets; monitor spending and adherence to statements of work and annual operating plan.
  • Identify solutions for Sampling and Credentialing/Licensing that support and enhance the capability to track operational efficiencies and effectiveness of programs; drive business process improvements; analyze trends and remediate program gaps and issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree, MBA preferred
  • Minimum 10 years pharmaceutical experience
  • Minimum 6 years Sampling Services experience
  • Experience in Field Credentialing and Licensing
  • Demonstrated skills in communicating effectively with diverse individuals/groups in order to facilitate trust and understanding in business and vendor relationships
  • A comprehensive understanding of PDMA, DEA and related federal/state regulations, with general knowledge of cGMP, OIG, FDA and other regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated experience with direct management of external vendors with managing to Service Level Agreements and budgets
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct investigations and audits to identify gaps and creative solutions to complex problems and implement quickly and successfully
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and business process improvement
  • Demonstrated experience with cross functional team leadership
  • Strong organizational, planning/project management and influencing skills
  • Detail-orientated with excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Travel expectations:  25% for 8 months, 10% thereafter
