Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Role and Responsibility as Pathologist
  • Reports to Lab Director
  • Reviews and authorizes examination reports
  • Monitor work performed in the laboratory to determine that clinically relevant information is being generated.
  • Coordinates training for laboratory staff and participates in relevant educational programmers
  • Defines, implements and monitors standards of performance and quality and reviews Quality indicators.
  • Oversees compliance with requirements of the Quality Management System.
  • Provides advisory services - choice of test, interpretation of lab results.
  • Selects and monitors referral laboratories
  • Select and monitors laboratory suppliers
  • Ensures safe lab environment and safety of lab personnel
  • Addresses complaints / suggestions from staff and users of laboratory services
  • Operation of LIS (authorized modules)
  • Carries out other responsibilities as and when assigned by the Management.
