We have an exciting opportunity to become the new Director Global Medical Affairs for Immunology and Immuno-oncology to provide medical and scientific guidance and direction for Immunology and Immuno-oncology, developing and implementing the medical strategy, working collaboratively with strategic partners in order to execute a successful launch of Teva’s assets in Immunology and Immuno-oncology.


This role is part of Teva´s Global Medical Affairs, Neuroscience department. International travel will be required including overseas (approx 10%-20% of the time).

Please note: this role is NOT a People Manager role (you will be an individual contributor to the team)


Location: flexible across UK and ideally close to one of our sites in Harlow or Castleford

A day in the life of...

  • You will be the Global Medical ‘point of contact’ for Teva’s assets in Immunology and Immuno-oncology franchise.
  • You will be responsible for medical and scientific leadership and support to current and future commercialized medicines, and issues management for current medicines.
  • You will lead, from a GMA point of view, the development of the global strategic brand plans and operating plans, in collaboration with other cross-functional teams for the franchise.
  • You will be responsible for the development and execution of the Global Medical Affairs plan for the relevant asset(s). These will include, amongst others, responsibilities such as Phase IIIb/IV trial activities (such as protocol development, medical governance and interpretation of results); development of Key Opinion Leader (External Experts) strategy and plan; scientific congress activities (such as medical symposium, presentation of abstracts and or posters); input to publication strategy and review of Investigator Sponsored Studies and collaborative research.
  • You will (in partnership with the TA lead) provide coordination and execution of overall medical strategy for Teva’s assets in close collaboration with Regional Medical Affairs teams, from initiation of regional pre-launch activities to several years post-launch (as relevant). 
  • You will (in partnership with the TA-lead) contribute to and implement the world-wide medical Immunology and Immuno-oncology strategy.
  • You will interface effectively with other Global Medical Affairs functions such as Scientific Communications and Health Economics and Outcomes Research, and other departments, including Commercial, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs and Pharmacovigilance.
  • You will advise clinical development with input on development plans, target product profile, and lifecycle management.
  • You will partner with all relevant functions on compounds in phase IIa/b development by providing Medical Affairs expertise and guidance when needed.
  • You will collaborate with Global Scientific Communications in support of knowledge generation for the franchise, including strategy development and review of manuscripts, abstracts and posters as part of the publication team. 
  • You will serve as an internal medical expert for product and disease-related content, product labeling, and Pharmacovigilance teams.
  • You will lead data generation projects to address data gaps identified in the assigned therapeutic area or TEVA asset.
  • You will lead content development and present data for Global medical advisory boards, trainings and other initiatives.
  • You will develop AOP (annual operating plan), LRP (long range planning) and manage budget effectively and proactively

Who we are looking for

Do you have...?

  • Life sciences degree and PhD (preferred)
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience in global medical affairs, in particular in Immunology and/or Immuno-oncology
  • Experience in successfully developing strategy and executing medical plans, and in building professional external expert networks. 
  • Broad and good knowledge of drug development, clinical trial design, regulatory requirements, business development and life cycle management.
