Your responsibilities 

 

As a Senior Director, Head of Global Logistics you will be responsible for supervising  the Global Logistics organization including all warehousing, transportation, and logistics activities. You will define the Global, Regional & Local strategy for logistics, aligned with Global Supply Chain Management and all segments of Teva. The focus will be on manufacturing warehouses, distribution centers, domestic distribution, transport customs and international freight including trade compliance and supply chain integrity. 

Additionally, you will coordinate  the logistics footprint and physical flow of all products and materials for all Business Units within Teva, to ensure high quality service, delivery, and compliance at optimized cost and in a safe environment.

 

In this role, you will…

 

  • Manage the global team of experts focused on warehousing and transportation 
  • Develop integration and transparency of E2E logistics (vendor to customer) into the Teva enterprise systems
  • Optimize the Distribution Centre and Warehousing network; Build, deploy and train warehousing and transportation method standards 
  • Spearhead  continued network studies to ensure alignment with market changes and changing regulations across the world
  • Build an aligned network (Quality, Security, EHS) and data metrics to measure and improve performance
  • Support the execution of global projects (SAP, Packaging, …) in collaboration with the involved partners 
  • Connect with other departments to align business opportunities with commercial, finance, QA, Security, Due diligence, EHS, Operations, R&D…
  • Provide deep understanding  and insight to all partners  and share industry standards  across the Teva Network
  • Benchmark prices and standards and identify improvement opportunities
  • Provide oversight for all customs and trade activities; Leverage the scale in transportation and international freight to increase service and reduce cost
  • Improve GDP across the network according to regional guidance and build the Teva requirements
  • Ensure matrix management of regional logistics and warehouses

Your profile

 

 

  • University Degree in Business or Logistics
  • 12+ years of experience in the field of Logistics or a comparable function in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Demonstrable supervision capabilities
  • Strong project management capabilities
  • Strong IT mindset with an initiative to strive for modernization / digitalization
  • Multi-cultural mindset
  • Ability for strategic thinking in a complex business environment within a matrix organization
  • Ability to serve as a subject matter expert within the functional area 
  • Customer-oriented attitude with an ability to take initiative and create an achievement environment
  • Process-oriented mindset with an ability to understand complexity and manage change
  • Ability to review  and evaluate costs & activities
  • Ability to anticipate and plan for potential risks and develop corresponding contingency plans
  • Ability to define and use performance indicators in the area of responsibility to monitor and improve operational performance  
  • Outstanding communication skills with an ability to collaborate with different departments and partner with and influence others without direct authority
  • Oral and written fluency in English
