Job Description

This role is responsible for leading IT Services (including Tech. Projects' procurement)  of the Global Procurement Categories of IT. 
In this capacity, the role includes all Teva spend in the related category.
This role is accountable for developing a procurement strategy, category management, supplier development, contract negotiation, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and ongoing continuous improvement activities.    
External spend with suppliers in the IT Services category is approximately $90M.   
This category collaborates with senior IT leaders to implement strategic sourcing solutions and category initiatives for key areas. This position is expected to make a significant contribution to meeting company cost reduction goals and procurement savings expectations for the global IT procurement team, which addresses approximately $300M annually spend 

General duties and responsibilities:
•    Develop and deploy an effective category strategy to increase Teva’s ability to leverage IT volume globally, regionally, and locally. 
•    Lead successfully global procurement initiatives in the IT Services domain. 
•    Build category governance models to establish highly integrated ways of working with regional procurement teams and IT units across multiple geographic regions.
•    Work collaboratively with other Category managers and be a great team player.
•    Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with senior IT stakeholders and regional procurement leaders to gather feedback, understand category pain points, opportunities, and influence category strategies.
•    Responsible for achieving a defined set of corporate and procurement objectives – most notably for savings delivery, supplier risk, and Source to Pay process improvement.
•    Assure alignment between Procurement, Business Unit, and Corporate Goals 
•    Conduct supply market research to provide category intelligence and benchmarks on industry dynamics, trends, and best practices.
•    Develop and coordinate all sourcing activities for the category, including directing and approving competitive bidding (RFx) processes.  
•    Review and approve complex RFX documentation and work with the Legal entities.  
•    Effectively communicate the impact of sourcing decisions to management and employees as appropriate (actively enroll their support).
•    Develop effective supplier negotiation plans and strategies. 
•    Implement Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Programs with key suppliers such as RED, Accenture, Veeva, EY, IBM and more to foster innovation, track performance metrics and       ensure ongoing continuous improvement.
•    Interface directly with Finance to document savings and P&L impact and drive compliance
•    Advance Teva Culture for the Sourcing and Procurement Profession through mentoring, coaching and training.   


  • Qualifications: Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree with a major or concentration in Business Administration, Finance or Engineering. MBA may be an advantage.
  • Experience Required: At least 5-7 years’ experience operating on behalf of the IT Procurement Function within a large matrix organization mandatory; proven experience and deep understanding of IT Services Procurement management (IT projects, staff augmentation, Managed Services and more), in high and global scale.  
  • Functional Skills:
  • Able to develop commercial strategy based on experience and best in class practices.
  • Translate strategic vision into tactical plans and manage the implementation, including the change required to execute.
  • Strong negotiation skills and proved vast experience in managing negotiations with word's leading vendors at the IT market.  
  • Demonstrated ability leading cross-functional matrix support functions and working in the Multicultural environment. 
  • Managing global-scale multiple projects, as a commercial lead, including delivering quantifiable results.
  • Excellent English communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal – the ability to gain executive support 
  • Strong Interpersonal/Relationship Management Skills, ability to develop suppliers
  • Strong analytical skills and conceptual thinking that drives strategy and creates innovative options
  • Solid business judgment, able to anticipate impact of decisions and initiatives.
  • Superior financial modeling and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent supplier negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • Language requirements: Excellent written, verbal and presentation English skills
  • Travel Requirements – International: 10%
